My husband and I just celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary. I love him so much more now than I did when we got married. I know that he loves me too because of the amazing anniversary he planned for us. The kids were at Grandma’s house for the weekend and on Saturday morning, we were getting ready to leave when a limousine from a Chicago car service pulled up in front of our home. I was surprised beyond belief. I’d never ridden in a limo before and my husband, Matt, had contracted with the Chicago car service for the entire day.
We started off our day by going to the aquarium. We usually go there with our kids, but it was nice to just hold hands and walk through together. Matt knows how much I love penguins and he scheduled a penguin encounter, where we got to be up close and even touch their feathers. After that, the car service took us to the theater and then out to dinner. It was so wonderful to be able to spend the entire day with my husband. I appreciate the time it must have taken him to plan this. These ten years have been the best of my life and on the limo ride home I told him so.
